Anthrocon 2010 & Delta Airlines
tl;dr version: I didn't have that great of a weekend.
Each year, my hometown of Rock Hill, SC holds a welcome to Spring Come-See-Me Festival. Countless activities are held all across the city in a span of nearly two weeks. Each year, my employer hosts a Teddy Bear Surgery event for the kids at Glencairn Gardens. This year, 200 injured stuffed animals were handed out to kids that lined up. Each kid gets to sit down with a veterinarian and have their injured teddy bear sewn up. It's our way of contributing to the yearly festival.
Most furries are aware of the yearly Furry Survey conducted by the writer, researcher, and essayist, Alex Osaki."The Furry Survey is the largest general-purpose demographic survey of the furry fandom anywhere in the world. It has a declared international scope, although it is English-only at the moment. The previous iteration of the survey ran through 2009 and collected more than 9000 respondents."
A new year is upon us. 2009 was a year full of big changes and new experiences for me. To name a couple of the highlights; I graduated from Clemson University and I spent some time with people that I care about. It was a decent year with its ups and downs just like any other year. Unfortunately it doesn't stand out among the rest. As always, I hope the next 365 days are better than the previous. Here's to a Husky New Year! - Cheers
