There were two main stages and one additional stage. The event started at 11:30 and ended at midnight. I was not able to get into the event until around 3:00 pm due to hours of waiting in a dead stand-still in traffic to get into the place. That was fine because the bands I really wanted to see were not playing until later in the afternoon. This was my first time being at a real rock concert and it was crazy with all the bands and over 32,000 people there! I really enjoyed my favorite bands and getting to see them live. Skillet, Alter Bridge, Avenged Sevenfold and several other bands put on amazing shows. With A7X being the headliner band, their performance was absolutely stunning. Their tribute to James "The Rev" Sullivan was almost tear-jerking. They also got to do the fireworks finale at the end of their show to bring the entire even to a close. Overall, the bands were awesome. The event itself was not so great and could have been planned a little better. It certainly was not prepared properly for the amount of people that were there. I had to stand in line for at least 2 hours just to get food! And they ran out of water! Among other things that could have been better, I'm sure the planners will take all the negative feedback and make next year's festival better for everyone. Although I would really like to see these bands again next year, I just don't know if the painful day-long standing, the amount of smokers making it somewhat unpleasant and the hassles of getting in and out are really worth it. I can finally say that I've seen so many of these bands live and I'm happy with that for now.
