A Bold Future

While I was in college I was included in my parents' mobile family plan with Verizon. I was fortunate enough to have a phone but unfortunate enough to be able to do anything other than talk on it, which I rarely did. I sat back and watched social networking explode being left behind unable to take part in it all. It frustrated me, angered me and was pretty depressing. It's no fun having to tell your friends not to text you because you have to pay for any text message sent/received. Well, those days are finally over!

I've been waiting for the right time to get out from under the constricting plan I was confined to. A big step forward was getting a decent paying job to be able to afford the monthly payments associated with mobile luxuries. Long story short, I decided to switch networks due to limitations on the Verizon network/phones. One of the biggest requirements I had was that the devices had to support wifi. Verizon is pretty strict on their phones and they don't allow wifi on the majority of their product line. They've sort of changed their approach to this recently, but not that it matters to me. Verizon is just too expensive to begin with. T-Mobile recently dramatically reduced their mobile plan prices and just released their first 3G BlackBerry. Being that I've always been a fan of PDAs and smartphones, I've had my eye on one specific phone that was love at first sight. The BlackBerry Bold 9700. I won't go over the specs, but I will provide a link to them at the end of this entry. All I can say is that this phone is amazing. Being touted and RIM's greatest phone to date, the Bold 2 is pretty freaking awesome.
