Just like last year, I donned Kane for the Teddy Bear Surgery event held by my employer during our city's annual Spring festival this past April. The kids really enjoyed Kane again this year! There were a couple that wanted to take me home and there were also a couple that wanted absolutely nothing to do with the big ole scary doggy. I was able to wear Kane much longer than I was able to last year and didn't have to take multiple breaks thanks to the fan I installed in my head last year.
Each year, my hometown of Rock Hill, SC holds a welcome to Spring Come-See-Me Festival. Countless activities are held all across the city in a span of nearly two weeks. Each year, my employer hosts a Teddy Bear Surgery event for the kids at Glencairn Gardens. This year, 200 injured stuffed animals were handed out to kids that lined up. Each kid gets to sit down with a veterinarian and have their injured teddy bear sewn up. It's our way of contributing to the yearly festival.
Kane is an athletic-built black/white Siberian Husky featuring a unique "diamond-shape" mask pattern on his forehead, as opposed to the typical Fleur-de-lis-like pattern. Apart from the mask, there are no other special markings. His eyes are a light blue, or more exactly HEX#2B7BC0. The blue used on this site is the same color. In the online virtual world called Second Life, Kane features plain blue hair and a paw tattoo on his stomach. In normal art commissions, Kane should have short fluffy black head-hair.
Below are a few examples of art commissioned for Kane:
Kane Husky, 24, associates himself with the furry fandom. (What is the furry fandom?) Throughout his life, he knew he had a special connection with animals and seemed to enjoy the wilderness. It wasn't until around 2006 that he learned about the furry fandom and that there were thousands, if not millions, of people around the world that shared his same interests.
