Just like last year, I donned Kane for the Teddy Bear Surgery event held by my employer during our city's annual Spring festival this past April. The kids really enjoyed Kane again this year! There were a couple that wanted to take me home and there were also a couple that wanted absolutely nothing to do with the big ole scary doggy. I was able to wear Kane much longer than I was able to last year and didn't have to take multiple breaks thanks to the fan I installed in my head last year.
Each year, my hometown of Rock Hill, SC holds a welcome to Spring Come-See-Me Festival. Countless activities are held all across the city in a span of nearly two weeks. Each year, my employer hosts a Teddy Bear Surgery event for the kids at Glencairn Gardens. This year, 200 injured stuffed animals were handed out to kids that lined up. Each kid gets to sit down with a veterinarian and have their injured teddy bear sewn up. It's our way of contributing to the yearly festival.
